Uncover what Happens after Dark in Shade…

In the rainy valley the sky is covered by cloud as the Thunder God wars with his son, Apollo. As dusk descends the wolves haunt the forest. A crescent moon rises and all days are nights for the huntress, until the ancient battle is won. What lurks beneath the surface in the heartlands of myth and reality is a tale as insidious and devious as the wolves themselves. The sun has not yet set forever on a love that has defied time in a valley cursed for centuries.

Lila has nothing to lose, except for the one thing that means everything. The unwilling heroine with a chip on her shoulder treads between two worlds on a path of inescapable fate that the Goddess has chosen for her. Lila must follow a dark path towards a war that no one can win. Suspicions rage as the fight takes her into the belly of the beast. Lives will be lost in a vicious clash. Who will be left standing after the fray? The hunter’s legacy must be fulfilled in a vivid tale of heartbreak and betrayal as what rises must fall and those that have fallen must find the strength to rise again. No one will emerge unscathed.

Review:

As with Books 1 and 2, Night Fall also explains the mythology behind how the werewolves, the hunters and the legends surrounding Shade came to be. Personally I really enjoy mythology, so I found this story, even though it seems to be split up into parts to give you a peek at what the book you are about to read, holds an impressive overall fuller story behind the plot which will be significant to the out come of the series. It is as if it gives you small nuggets of information that you don’t quite fully understand until you get further into the book and the short glimpse into the mythology proves this right because in Book 3: Night Fall an epic tale IS told, one worthy of the ancients.

Personally this was my most favourite book yet in the series. The tension of the build up to the battle is amazing and could not have been written better. C.J and Lila are a very interesting mix and a twist but they are so much alike it is uncanny. Lila and Sky finally lock eyes and the strength that Lila thought she had is tripled as she……. I rally do not want to give it away! Brilliantly written, slightly different flow to it but it works with the tension behind every move Lila makes with her allies to take down the Cult once and for all – Let the Battle commence!

There is no escape from fate…

Dark clouds gather as the legend continues. In the town where secrets lie and natural justice rules, the sirens have fallen – captured and defeated. The fate of the hunters is in the hands of the wolves. In the grip of the largest full moon in centuries the stakes climb higher.

Aided by a thwarted enemy, Apollo unleashes a long-awaited plan to defeat Artemis once and for all. Wolf venom spreads across the Valley like a catastrophic virus.

Those that Lila loves most must choose to take cover or go on the defence as the battle for supremacy reaches new heights.

Bonds are tested as devastation and mistrust escalates to breaking point. The tumultuous relationship between wolves and hunters reaches a bloody climax.

What will the huntress uncover and who will be lost in the cross fire?

Lila combats a new breed of predator in a war that will ultimately decide the fate of Shade.

Review:

WOW – What an Amazing Book!! This series has gone from strength to strength, with a brilliant concept plot in Book 1 right through to the Epic Book 3 and now I have just read Dusk In Shade which has blown everything out the water completely! Tina Smith has done an amazing job writing this series. Her characters are so realistic you feel like you can almost touch them. The world that Shade belongs to is so easily visible in your minds eye, that you can almost hear the crunch of the leaves, the trickle of the streams and imagine just how the woodland surrounding Shade would smell, the colours so bright and clean.

In Dusk In The Shade Lila, her friends and her allies go into the nearby towns to investigate why so many people are disappearing. When they get there they find that the situation is worse than they thought with super werewolves who are completely devoid of any humanity to the point of being psychotic. Trying to rescue as many people as they can they find they have a large fight on their hands and a mystery to solve as to where these people are going and who exactly is turning them.

Lila struggles to hold on to herself and not let the hunter inside her take over as she loses loved ones around her *spoiler alert* which includes her mother and her father. Sky desperately tries to help her hang on as he feels her slipping away, using his love for her as a shield. But the hunter inside her knows that she needs to come out fully in order to take them all down and win the day.

More hunters have been “activated” by the Gods in order to quell the werewolves that are over running it all – Lila’s full destiny is revealed as she leads the hunters to kill the Monster that is turning all of the towns people into werewolves without humanity.

Will Lila be able to stay Lila or will she lose to the hunter within? Will Sky and Lila finally lose each other after all they have fought for to be together? Will Lila survive to fulfil her Destiny? – All is revealed within Dusk In Shade #4 of the Wolf Sirens Series. Book 5 cannot come soon enough for me!!
