Excerpt
When I hear Lo bang at the door again, I’m ready to kill her. Hoping she will go away I don’t make any moves to get up, then I hear the banging again. I slowly get up, throw on my shorts, and open the door. I’m ready to give her hell. Until I see Damon standing there.
He reaches down and grabs my right hand lifting it toward his face. My legs almost give out as I watch him insert each of my fingers into his mouth and suck on them.

“The phone wasn’t enough for me.” He backs me into my room, closing the door and locking it again. Damon steps forward and I’m now pressed against the door. “I can’t wait too long to bury my aching dick inside you. I do need to taste that beautiful fucking pussy, though.” He drops down in front of me, yanks my shorts down, and I step out of them quickly. His hands skim up my legs hooking his arms around the back of my knees. I almost fall from the lack of balance when he lifts them up and rests my legs on his shoulders.

His nose runs along my inner thigh and my body heats almost to the point of pain. Damon runs his tongue slowly up the length of my pussy stopping at my clit and sucking it into his mouth. I lift my arms above my head and grab onto the doorframe for support. In doing this I thrust myself toward him more and he groans in appreciation. His fingers join his mouth going to town on my already sensitive area. Before I know what hits me, my legs are starting to tremble in anticipation of my impending orgasm. When he pulls away from me, I whine in disappointment.
He untangles my legs from his shoulders, and stands up. As his arms come up, grab the hem of my shirt and lift it over my head. “How is it possible that I missed you so fucking much when I just saw you earlier.”

I smile, not knowing how to respond to his declaration of feelings. Damon takes my hand and leads me over to my bed, stopping just at the edge of it. My back is now to his front and I can feel his erection pressed against my ass through the thin shorts he has on. I reach behind me and hook my thumbs into his waistband and slowly lower them and myself to the floor. When I stand back up I do it slowly making sure to stick my ass out and trail it over his body.

His fingers grip my hips. “I would love to fucking cherish every inch of you but I want you too damn bad.” Before I can even think of a response, he pulls back and slams into me. “God damn perfect.”

Review
Shattered Innocence is a very revealing emotional story behind the obvious job Jessica has taken on in order to get her through college and I can very confidently say I have never read anything like this novel before – and that’s a good thing! The way Alexis Noelle has been able to take on writing about this type of emotional journey, the prostitution involved and the innocence that was taken from this young girl in such an understanding and make such a successful plot with such complex, honest and raw characters just further proves the level of skill to her writing that is easily seen on each page. I cannot imagine being able to take Jessica’s story and turn it into the book it becomes came easy, but the level of research, passion and dedication to make her journey from a young impressionable girl into the strong confident woman that her character undergoes is nothing short of impressive.
We meet Jessica already at a point in her life where she is very comfortable in her own skin and reasonable happy about where she is in her life. Growing up poor and from a less than wonderful background, she has always has to fight for everything she has. Getting herself to college was a massive step for her and once she moved away from her old life she truly believed her everything was going to change, that was until reality set in. Being in college and not having rich parents to fall back onto for money, she already knew she would have to look for a job in order to survive. But when she finds out that her grants will not cover her course fees and that unless she gets a good high paying job quickly her hopes of graduating college will be ruined, she ends up taking a gamble that soon has her barreling down a path she never foresaw, one that would almost swallow her up as a person and changing her beyond repair.
Working as an “Escort & Sexual Teacher/Counsellor/Guru of sorts” provides Jessica with the money to stay in school and finish what she started, knowing that this will not be her life forever keeps her on track emotionally inside. Her best friend Lo is another reason why she is still sane, she has helped her to stay “real & true” to herself. Lo is an amazing character someone I would LOVE as a best friend! In the beginning when she goes for her interview she feels humiliated, and after her first “job” she feels dirty but it is this knowledge that keeps her going, no other job will pay the way this one does in order to keep her in school, allow her enough money to live and eat, this is what allows her to make the decision to continue, this to me is when she truly loses her innocence. Fast Forward and Jessica is no longer a scared young girl that she once was, she is now in control of her “clients” with her boss allowing her to pick and choose her hours to fit around her school schedule, she has worked hard to get to the top and can command some serious money, making her own rules. But that all changes the day her old boss leaves and Damon takes over.
Not knowing who she is going to meet or who he is, she is shocked to find a hugely hot and attractive guy waiting to meet her, just looking at him instantly turns her on which is something no one has been able to do in a very long time. But first looks can be deceiving and not only does her make her re-audition for her to keep her job, invoking her old memories and feelings of humiliation, but from that second onwards the two immediately clash, and not in a good way. Jessica thinks he is rude, egotistical and an ars@ole – he changes the rules and this does not sit well with her. With Damon, his reactions to her vary leaving her very confused, he almost acts jealous and her attraction to him begins to grow……. Can she date a man who knows what she does for a living? Can he handle it?
Damon is not who he seems; tall, dark, handsome and with the body of a man made for sin, he walks into Jessica’s life with a purpose. But what is supposed to be and what happens are two different story’s, as much as he tries to stay away from her he can’t, he finds himself drawn to her with a siren’s song. He recognises who she is, not the hard ass person she is trying to portray and with his help he begins to take her defences down enough that she begins to spend time with him outside of the work place…….Can he convince her that she can be more than she is, bring back hope into her life? Will his secrets come back to haunt him and ruin what they have?
Shattered Innocence is beautifully written by Alexis Noelle, she has taken a brilliant concept and added not only the usual erotic sexual scenes between the leading hottie and leading lady, but she has also expertly and sympathetically written about a subject that often goes unmentioned, as if it was taboo – prostitution. Her awareness to this cause, so that women can be safe and not coerced into a line of work because they feel they have no other options, is not only a worthy cause but also very tastefully written. I really enjoyed Shattered Innocence and the cliffhanger ending does leave you without a doubt wanting for more! I can’t wait to read book 2 in this series, it will be definitely on my “To Read” list! 4**** Stars
